Fee & parent information
Hours of Operation: 7.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday
We also offer Occasional care
We open enrolment for occasional care every Monday for the following week. You can book one week in advance.
All fees for Occasional must be paid on the Childs first day of care for that week for the entire sessions required for that week.
Cancellation of Occasional Care
We need 24 hrs written notice to cancel care. If you have already paid for the care, it will be put into credit for the next time you need care.
You are to pay either via EFT, Pay Pass or Cash for occasional care only.
Fees information as follows
Fees are payable either weekly. Fees must be paid on days your child is sick or absent for any reason. Fees are not charged when the centre is closed over Christmas or on Public Holidays.
Parents can pay via our Direct Debit system. You will be emailed receipts and invoices weekly or upon request.
A non-refundable enrolment fee of $35 is to be paid on the day of registration this is required for all families including occasional care families.
You will be given a brightly coloured bucket hat on your child's first day.
You will be required to pay a two-week full fee security bond that is refunded upon finalisation of enrolment once we have received your two week's notice in writing and fees are up to date.
The bond is refundable on your child's last day of attendance or can be paid as fees for their final two weeks of attendance.
Although we don't have a minimum or maximum amount of preferred days of attendance we believe that children benefit more from attending the centre for a minimum of two days.
Please be aware that days cannot be swapped for any reason. Children cannot make up for lost days due to illness or other circumstances; we are operating at full capacity so we are unable to successfully implement a process of makeup days that would be fair for all families. We would be relying on other children being absent for you to be able to access a make-up day
Child Care Benefit
Child Care Benefit (CCB): is available to all families, but the % will differ from family to family, as well as the number of hours of care that the benefit will apply to. For example, you may be entitled to 24 hours of care (2 days) and wish to have their child attending for three days. Therefore you will receive a fee reduction for two days and be required to pay full charges for the third day.
Child Care Rebate (CCR) You will need to call Centrelink on 136150 in enquiring if you are eligible for this rebate. If you qualify, you are entitled to 50% rebate on the fees you pay our service until you reach a threshold of $7500 per child per calendar year. Please contact us if you have any questions in regards to any benefits.
DEEWAR is responsible for the payment of CCB and CCR. CCB is paid directly to the centre and passed onto parents as a fee reduction: alternately parents can pay fill fees and claim the CCB as a lump sum after the end of the financial year.
Parents are required to apply for CCB through the FAO before your child commencing at the centre 136150 is the contact number for Family Assistance Office.
A Late fee of $3 per minute will be charged for the first 10 min then $5.00 per min after that if your child is collected after 6 pm. These fees are separate to your child's weekly fee and are paid directly to the staff that remains at the centre to look after your child.
Withdrawal of your enrolment
Two weeks written notice is required before your child leaving the centre. Your two-week bond can be used to cover your Child's fees for the last two weeks. We also ask that if you wish to decrease your child's days, two weeks written notice is also required.
All children need a chance to settle in. They all react to situations in different ways. This may be an equally difficult time for parents. We have an orientation process which involved parents and their child spending time at the centre in the child's room. This is done over several 1 hour visits. Parents are encouraged to spend time with their children at the centre then build up leaving them alone for the hour.
Please don't hesitate to call teachers at any time if your are concerned. It is important that you say goodbye to your child, relax and show confidence and your child will feel more at ease. If can be very distressing to a child if he/she does not understand where the parent is. or does not realise they are gone. Disappearing without warning and lingering after goodbyes can confuse your child and result in them being less willing to accept your departure for the following day. Please call the centre as many times as your need throughout the day, and our Teachers will contact you to update you on your shild's prgress throughout the day.
